You've Been Dabbling In Herbal Medicine For Years
You’ve Scrolled the Videos…
You've seen all the amazing remedies. You’ve learned how to make elderberry syrup, you make your fire cider, and that calendula salve has been working wonders!
It's so freaking cool!
But then the more you learn about it, the more you're like, "Oh my God, there's so much to learn."
And then you realize there's so many herbs beyond the ones trending on social media, and that working with the human body is so much more complex than just "here, take this herb and everything is great," right?
You’re the kind of person who if you’re gonna do something you’re gonna do it right.
Feelin’ familiar?
If you're nodding along thinking 'yep, that's totally me, I want to be that herbalist who knows their shit!' then keep reading.
This Community Herbalist Certification Program was created for people like you.
Some of our students go on to work with clients. Others want to care for themselves and their family with true confidence.
The training supports both.
Because you’re ready to go from dabbling in herbs to feeling confident and grounded in how you work with them.
Yep, This Feels Like Me
But first…
"Mel helps you see how diving into the world of herbalism can enhance your life and help the planet. I have taken countless classes from this amazing human. She is a wealth of knowledge and has a charm and approachability that makes learning from her easy and fun."
Jess B.- Herbalism Student
Maybe you've heard this question before, or even asked it yourself...
What Herb Do I Take For...
{Insert any ailment here}?
And if you’ve ever had someone give you the one 'Wonder Herb' answer, chances are…
It's Probably Bullshit
You know it. I know it.
And I also know you’ve already tried the endless internet scrolling, the random classes here and there, and the “take this for that” approach that leaves you feeling less than confident in what you’re recommending for someone else’s health.
You've probably...
-
Spent money on classes that left you more confused than when you started
-
Made remedies that worked but have no idea WHY they worked
-
Had people ask for your help but felt terrified you might actually harm someone
Well, I’m here to help you become a confident community herbalist in a way that actually makes sense, is science-backed while honoring tradition, and won’t leave you drowning in information overload.
Even with...
-
Your perfectionist tendencies that make you terrified of recommending the "wrong" herb to someone
-
The conflicting information overload scattered across social media and random courses
-
Your imposter syndrome that whispers "who are you to call yourself an herbalist?"
-
The complexity of the human body that makes you feel like you need a medical degree to help anyone
-
The pressure from your community who already sees you as "the herb person" but you don't feel ready
After the last couple of years on this herbal journey, learning with you, people in my family and community have reached out to me so many times for help.
I want to have the confidence on my own, without second guessing myself, to work with others outside of just me and my kiddos to safely and effectively recommend herbal remedies, lifestyle changes and all of the things that go along with this.
I want to help them improve their health and their lives, applying what I know to ensure that they also learn how amazing herbs can be and that they DO work!
I am so excited and ready to dive deeper with you Mel!
Tricia L.- Community Herbalist Student
Now Imagine Being the Herbalist Who...
Whips up remedies without wondering "Will I poison someone?"
Next time someone comes to you with digestive issues, instead of frantically Googling “herbs for stomach problems,” you immediately know to ask about their stress levels, sleep patterns, and what they ate for breakfast.
You’re thinking holistically, formulating strategically, and feeling like the badass herbalist you actually are.
People stopped questioning you because they KNOW you know your shit
We’re talking about being the trusted herbalist your neighbor calls when their kid’s been coughing for weeks and the pediatrician just wants to prescribe another antibiotic. You’re the one they go to when their mom wants to get off her sleep meds, or when they’re looking for natural support for anxiety — and they trust that you can help.
Knows WHY you chose the herbs & feel confident in your choices
No more lying awake at night wondering if you told Janice the right thing about her hormones, or if that tincture blend you made for your friend’s husband was actually helpful or just expensive mumbo jumbo. You know why you chose those herbs, how they work in the body, and exactly what to expect.
"The only trouble I have now is that plant medicine has been working miracles and all my family that was once embarrassed to say they took plant medicine from me now can't stop promoting me.
Now they ask for them and their co-workers, teachers, friends neighbors and whoever else they see or hear sick.
Thank you very much!"
Maria G.- Community Herbalist Student
This is all possible for you.
And the Community Herbalist Certification & Mentorship is here to help you make it happen.
Truth is you shouldn't have to piece together your herbal education from a thousand different sources and hope it all makes sense.
You deserve a clear, comprehensive path that takes you from where you are now to where you want to be.
DAMN RIGHT I DESERVE THAT!
Now let me show you how…
Introducing the
Community Herbalist Certification & Mentorship
A 12-month guided journey to help you feel confident using herbs for yourself and others.
This isn't just another herbal course that leaves you feeling more confused than when you started.
It’s an in-depth program that weaves together the science of herbalism with traditional plant wisdom. You’ll walk away understanding how the human body works and how herbs work with it, along with practical skills you can use in real-life situations.
We’re taking you from “I saw a post that said to use this herb” to “here’s exactly why it works and how to use it safely.” While still deeply honoring your journey this far.
By the end, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to work with herbs in a grounded, thoughtful way — no more imposter syndrome, no more “I think this might work,” just solid, reliable herbal skills you and your community can trust.

This Is What Will Take You From
Dabbling In Herbs To...
Becoming The Skilled Herbalist
Who Actually Knows Their Shit!
Not because you memorized a bunch of plant facts.
Not because you watched endless videos.
And definitely not because someone handed you a certificate.
But because you’ve learned how to think, observe, and work with the body and the plants together.
You understand why
you’re choosing certain herbs.
You know how to slow down and assess instead of reaching for quick answers.
You trust your process because you’ve practiced it, questioned it, and refined it.
This is the kind of confidence that doesn’t need to announce itself.
It’s quiet.
It’s grounded.
It’s steady.
It shows up when someone asks for your help and you don’t panic.
When you can say, “Let’s look at what’s really going on here,” and mean it.
When you stop second-guessing yourself and start trusting what you know.
You’re no longer dabbling.
You’re walking the Herbalist’s Path with intention.
And that’s what your family, your community,
and the people who turn to you
are actually looking for.
Yes! I’m Ready for This.
"I'm excited. Your course has given me the confidence to actually call myself an herbalist and not just an herbal student"
Lissa B.- Community Herbalist Student
As a growing Herbalist working to fill my toolbox with as many resources as possible, I am absolutely delighted that I found Mel and her Community Herbalist Program.
Mel herself is refreshing to listen to, always cheerful (even when sick!) and so humble. I love the way the classes are laid out, by body system, allowing you to focus in on one system at a time and then compound them together as you progress.
You can take as little or as much information from the lessons as suits you, and my favorite part is leaving comments on the individual videos if I have questions or insights which Mel directly responds to!

"I call myself an advanced dabbler with just enough knowledge to be dangerous. I've been mostly self-taught but have recently been able to study with a local herbalist, as well as taking online classes. I am currently enrolled in both Mel's program and in Herbal Academy. I do find Mel's program superior in both breadth and depth of information."

Guide on the Herbalist’s Path
I started dabbling in herbal medicine back in the late 1990s, completely fascinated by nature and the plants themselves. Back then, I had no idea this would become my life’s work.
Like many of my students, I devoured every book I could find and took random classes wherever I could. But the more I learned, the more I realized something important.
I didn’t just want to know what herbs to use.
I wanted to understand why they worked and how they were working in the body.
I wanted to be the herbalist who actually knew her shit.
Not just repeating information, but truly understanding it.
So I went all in.
I studied wherever I could, attended conferences, learned in person whenever possible, and continued deepening my education year after year. Eventually, that path led me to:
-
Building a successful herbal product line sold nationally
-
Running a brick-and-mortar apothecary and tea shop
-
Working one-on-one with hundreds of clients
-
Teaching herbalism since 2011
Now, after 25 years on this path, I’ve seen the same pattern over and over again.
The missing piece for most aspiring herbalists isn’t more information.
It’s understanding how the human body works and learning how to think like a holistic practitioner.
Body.
Mind.
Soul.
That’s why I created this program.
It’s built from over 14 years of teaching experience, six of those online, combined with constant student feedback and my background in environmental and experiential education. Everything here is designed to help you build real understanding, real confidence, and real skill.
I’m here to help you feel rock solid in what you’re doing with herbs.
To develop an essential life skillset you can trust.
To walk this path with clarity and confidence.
It’s your time, my friend.
You can be the herbalist who actually knows their shit.
And I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
"If you're thinking of joining the Community Herbalist program with Mel, I say DO IT!
She's an amazing teacher, and since I've been learning with her, I've gone from trusting all the TikTok videos, to feeling confident, asking the right questions of people who come to me, and actually watching them get mind blown by how well these herbs work!
It feels so good to know I'm helping my community, and doing it safely!!
Sign up, you won't regret it!"

Founder of Eudemonia Herbs
I’m an herbalist who will happily geek out over plant chemistry and then show you how to turn those same herbs into a damn good drink.
Yes, I’m one of those people who gets excited about flavonoids at dinner parties.
I fell head over heels for herbs over 25 years ago, and here’s what I learned along the way:
Knowing how herbs work is cool.
But getting people to actually use them in real life is where the magic happens.
Not the Pinterest-perfect version.
Not the aesthetic social media version where nobody drinks the tea because it tastes like dirt.
And definitely not the AI-generated nonsense flooding the internet.
I’m talking about herbs for real life.
Chaotic mornings. Stressful afternoons.
“I need support, but please make it delicious” moments.
That’s why I founded Eudemonia Herbs.
Wellness with personality, flavor, and zero shame around needing support.
Over two decades of studying, formulating, and teaching has shown me that the best herbal education happens when people feel comfortable asking weird questions, laughing while they learn, and walking away thinking, “Okay, I can actually do this.”
My teaching style is part plant chemistry deep dive,
part vibe check.
You’re going to learn.
And you’re going to enjoy it.
I joined Mel in this program because I believe herbalism should be accessible, enjoyable, and actually used in daily life, not just talked about online.

Why Choose To Walk With Us On
The Herbalist's Path?
There are a lot of herbal programs out there.
Most fall into one of two categories.
1. Self-Paced, PDF-Heavy Programs
Great information, but no real guidance when you’re stuck, confused, or overwhelmed.
2. Gardening-Focused Programs
Beautiful and inspiring, but not designed to teach you how to support a human dealing with complex or chronic health concerns.
This program is different.
Here’s what sets the Community Herbalist Certification & Mentorship apart:
-
Live teaching with Mel and Brittany, two clinical herbalists with over 50 years of combined experience, guiding you throughout the program
-
Real mentorship, not “post a comment and hope someone replies someday”
-
Questions answered within 48 hours inside our private student community
-
Clinical focus, so you understand how herbs work in the body and how to support real-life situations
-
Root-cause approach, rather than surface-level “what herb for what symptom” advice
-
Multiple learning styles supported, including visual, audio, experiential, and hands-on
-
Guest expert teachers bringing diverse traditions, perspectives, and lineages
-
Podcast-style access so you can learn while living your life
-
Lifetime access to all program materials
-
Up to three years to complete your certification, so learning fits real life
-
Ongoing engagement and support, instead of “log in, download, and good luck”
You're not doing this alone.
You’re learning alongside real humans, guided by experienced practitioners
who care deeply about your growth, your confidence,
and your ability to truly work with herbs in a meaningful way.
This is what it looks like to walk the Herbalist’s Path with support.
Yes! I’m Ready for the Herbalist’s Path
"As a former teacher, then instructor in the air force, it is Mel's method of teaching that I love. Having taken many herbal courses (Wood, Tierra, McDonald, Popham, Groves, Rawls, McBride, Hoffman, Coffman, Falconi, Ganora), I find the way Mel takes complex to an easier to understand or at least to not feel overwhelmed."
Nancianne L.- Community Herbalist Student
Wondering If This Community Herbalist Program Is Your Jam?
This program is a great fit:
-
You’ve been dabbling in herbs and feel ready to go way deeper, with confidence in what you’re doing
-
You want to understand why herbs work and how they interact with the body
-
You believe science and tradition can work together beautifully
-
You feel called to support your family or community, but feel overwhelmed by conflicting information
-
You’re willing to invest time and energy into becoming genuinely skilled
-
You want guided, structured learning instead of piecing things together from random internet sources
Probably not your jam if:
-
You’re completely anti-western medicine and only want purely traditional approaches
-
You’re looking for a quick weekend course rather than a deeper, paced learning journey
-
You’re not ready to invest time or financial resources into your herbal education
-
You prefer to learn entirely alone, without community or mentorship
-
You expect to feel like an expert without practicing, applying, and engaging with the work
-
You’re still searching for a “magic herb” solution without wanting to understand how the human body actually works
This isn’t about right or wrong.
It’s about fit.
Yep. This Is Totally My Jam.
"I'm in the community herbalist program. I started in January of this year, and I'm already, I have the confidence to start a school community, to tell them about herbs, to explain about herbs, explain how to use them in your daily life.
She provides information and little chunks, and that's what I love about it. I'm not overwhelmed after I listen to a lesson over a certain herb or whatever. The fact that I can do it on my own pace, I feel right now that I'm a little behind on some lessons, but I'm not really behind. Tons and tons of information, loads of support, and she's just amazing.
I love her personality. I love how she wants to help us, and you can feel that she wants to help us, and she gets excited when we are learning.
So anyway, if you have any doubts in your mind, do it? Join the herbalist path. The Community herbalist program is absolutely amazing."
April J.- Community Herbalist Student
